There are no roadmaps, guideposts or models for dating. Only conversations about yours or someone else’s experience or feelings about dating. There is no known path to navigate. Finding a life partner is often left to “a roll of the dice” or fate. more

The Dating Model

Stage One: The Meadow
The Meadow is anyplace you could meet someone. That could be at work, a social event, an online dating site, Starbucks, the airport. more
Stage Two: The Corral
The Corral is where dating takes place. The Corral is where you are getting to know someone. In The Corral, you have no concern for the future. more
Stage Three: The Stable
The Stable is where exclusivity occurs. It is reserved for your possible future life partner. Being in The Stable is a “hypothesis” for the last stage. more
Stage Four: The Ranch
The Ranch represents being in a committed partnership. At The Ranch, you have found the person you have always wanted. You and your partner are happy joining your futures together. more

Invent your future now The Lights

Dating is not about love. Love does not occur until the third stage of The Dating Model. It doesn’t mean it cannot occur before the third stage, but there is no advantage to having it happen before.

To be successful using The Dating Model, while dating, you need to be able to ask yourself “is the light green or is the light red?” What that means is, look into your experience and see how it is going for you.

A green light means “say yes to the next thing”, whatever the next thing is. Say yes, or just keep going.

A red light means “no”, or means stop. A yellow light is fine, keep going until the color of the light becomes clearer.

Remember to ask yourself “what color is the light?” You do not need to concern yourself with your feelings.
